Michael is a sought-after expert in cost savings for employee group benefits. He is an innovator and collaborator with a deep commitment to clients, many of whom he’s been working with for more than a decade. Michael’s expertise and understanding of claims administration, administrative service, cost savings programs for self-funded plans, and in stop loss makes him a leading partner for any employer who is self-funded or is considering it. He is known for his negotiating skills on behalf of clients, and his willingness to solve complex problems. Michael has relationships with the top stop loss carriers and underwriters in the country. This, together with his dissection of claims data and knowledge of the underwriting process has allowed him to negotiate and place over 350 stop loss contracts for clients. He began his employee benefit career in 1984, focusing on small group programs before turning his attention to large companies, specializing in self-funded programs and third-party administration. He later worked for 20 years for third-party administrators Aon Select and The Loomis Company until joining The Leff Company, where he served as Vice President. Michael lives with his wife Tricia in Glenside, PA. Combined, the couple has eight children. Fun facts: besides insurance, his passion is the game of hockey, his favorite junk food is ice cream and his chosen vacation spot is the Jersey Shore.
Chief Financial Officer
A business executive who is known for problem solving and innovation, Marc understands how to grow an enterprise efficiently. His focus as CFO is on cost-savings for clients, bringing an outstanding product to the market and ensuring that the firm makes clients lives a little easier. As an owner of multiple businesses, Marc developed keen insight into the needs and concerns of entrepreneurs, small business owners, middle-market company presidents, CEOs, CFOs and their employees. He began his career in retail sales, taking on ownership of one store and growing the business to six locations. He later became co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of a turnaround uniform company, growing it from $12 to $20 million before selling in 2012. His business experience is informing the growth of TAC Benefits Group in new directions. Admired for his exceptional interpersonal skills, persistence and patience, Marc has a fundamental belief in doing the right thing, which includes building a collaborative work environment. He and his wife Debbie have two children and live in Rydal, PA. He is a proud graduate of Penn State University and actively supports Germantown Academy and the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Fun facts: he enjoys playing golf or sitting on the beach, is a car enthusiast and his favorite vacation spot is Southeast Asia.
Director of Operations
A 20-year veteran of the health insurance industry, Andréa is a tireless leader. As Director of Operations, she oversees TAC’s new business development and account support teams as well as technical operations. Her experience spans new business implementations, renewals, claims processing and carrier billing. She is a relentless advocate for employers and their employees, obtaining resolution in even the most difficult cases. Andréa’s true expertise is in the self-insured market. She has supported clients of all sizes, across a variety of industries. Most recently, she spearheaded a project to bring ACA automation to some of TAC’s large staffing clients. An inspiring mentor, Andréa’s passion to support clients starts by supporting her teams. This dedication to service has made her a major asset to the company and our clients. Andréa is a fully licensed health insurance agent. She resides in Limerick, PA with her husband John and young son and is involved in her community and her son’s activities. Fun facts: her favorite junk foods are potato chips and ice cream (but not together!), she enjoys attending Comic-Cons and her best vacation was a destination wedding with her family to the Dominican Republic.
